  • About

Kilimanjaro is one of the toughest treks in the world. It is the tallest free-standing mountain on the planet and stands at 5,895m.

Eight Geography students from the University of Sheffield are undertaking this mammoth challenge in September 2019 to raise money for Dig Deep's water and sanitation projects in Kenya.

Dig Deep, Sheffields largest international development charity, works in East Africa. They focus on areas where 8 out of 10 people lack access to clean water and sanitation. They work together with schools and communities to build taps and toilets and facilitate vital hygiene and menstrual health training to the next generation.

Too many children and communities lack access to services like clean drinking water, safe sanitation and good hygiene, services that we take for granted daily and that are quite simply essential. By sponsoring us today you can help to break the needless cycle of poverty.

Thanks for taking the time to read our page!
