My Story

This Summer I will be attempting to climb Mount Kilimanjaro, the worlds highest free standing mountain. I will be doing this to
raise money for Dig Deep, a charity which works in East Africa to build taps and toilets and provide the local communities with training on vital hygiene and menstrual health. Last summer I travelled in Kenya and was struck by the very basic standard of living experienced by so many there. It was incredibly humbling to meet people who had so little and
yet were so generous with their hospitality and welcome. It was quickly apparent that even the smallest financial donation can make a difference
to these communities and that is why I would ask if you could help me raise funds for this very worthy cause. It will be a huge challenge undertake this high altitude extreme climb with some of my Durham Uni teammates but we are determined to conquer Africa’s tallest peak. Thank you!
