My Story

Hi my names Hannah and I’m 28 years old. This year I have decided to take a big leap out of my comfort zone and climb Mount Kilimanjaro in September 2019 to raise money for Dig Deep Africa.

Dig Deep is a charity that works to help schools and communities in South West Kenya gain access to clean water and sanitation by building taps and toilets and providing vital hygiene training. Clean water is something we all take for granted as it’s such a simple thing, but currently 8 out of 10 people in this area of the world lack access to it.

My family and friends will know this is completely out there for me and even though I’m excited I am extremely nervous to do this! 😬 I am aware this is a mentally and physically challenging exercise, but the thought of making a small difference to the world and helping families with something as basic as clean water is giving me the motivation to do this! I always wanted to do something worthwhile for charity and what better way than climbing to the highest peak in Africa!

Thank you so much for taking the time to read my page, wish me luck!

Love Hannah x
